Calling all students: Make History!

Elementary school students show their artwork

Students of Utah, it’s your turn to “Make History!”

Think it’s been a while since you heard anything about that?  It has!  For those who don’t know or don’t remember, last March we asked for students of all ages to create art to become a part of the Museum’s permanent collection.  When we first launched our Make History campaign, we planned for a short stretch of time when kids would be home from school.  This last year was a bit more complicated than that.  Kids and parents were busier than ever, trying to adapt to a whole new way of learning.  But we hope that it has been a creative year, too!  We want to see what students have had to say about this time through drawing, poetry, sculpture, really any art form!

Donations from students throughout the state of Utah can be sent or brought to the Brigham City Museum of Art and History to become part of future exhibits and our permanent collection.  Help the students of tomorrow know more about what it was like to be a student in 2020, and Make History!

The Brigham City Museum of Art and History wants to create a collection of student works, so that future generations can better understand our times.  We are asking you to create: drawings, essays, poetry, something that expresses what you and your community are doing and feeling right now.  Once the Museum has reopened, we will ask you for your history-making works and they will become a permanent part of the collection.  Please nothing inappropriate or off-topic.  Parents and Guardians, help guide your students of all ages to “Make History!” and contact us with any questions.  Thank you!
